The Arbiter of Endings

This tells the story of a writer who finds the draft of the conclusion to his most recent book mysteriously and repeatedly changed away from the one he intended, however often he changes it back. The endings are different each time. He is increasingly driven to despair as he finds it impossible to account for the changes or to know how anyone can tell fact from fiction.
